Versabin
Versabin is a smart trash can designed for household waste collection. The lid opens by human body sensing or by touch, so contact with the bin is avoided. An automatic aromatherapy function releases scent when the lid opens, reducing odour. A storage compartment in the front shell holds spare garbage bags. Two internal partitions allow the interior to be used as one large bin or as a two or three compartment bin for waste sorting. The main shell is made of stainless steel, with degradable plastic used for the top cover, back shell and base.
Versabin Smart Trash Can by Ziel Home Furnishing Technology Co., Ltd was identified as an outstanding illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Versabin Smart Trash Can was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Home Appliances Design in 2024. The A' Home Appliances Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which celebrates exceptional design of refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, washing machines, dryers, ovens, vacuum cleaners, air conditioners and more.
